 ABOUT THE YORKIE:   Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, offer big personalities in small packages.  Although they are members of the Toy group, they are true terriers as evidenced by their brave, investigative, and energetic nature.  They have long silky coats that require regular brushing.  Due to their small size, they are adaptable to all surroundings, travel well, and make excellent pets for many homes.  This portable pooch is one of the most popular breeds according to AKC Registration statistics.
